Responsible Gaming

Decide the amount before you start

Set the amount you are willing to spend before you begin, and treat it as spent the moment you commit it, whatever the outcome. Deciding in advance removes the pressure of judging in the moment, when a run of losses or a near win makes it much harder to think clearly about what you can afford. Once that amount is gone, stop; chasing a loss with more money almost always means spending against a decision you would not have made calmly at the start. Keep gambling money separate from money that is borrowed or earmarked for something else, so a loss stays a loss and does not turn into a debt. Taking breaks during a session, and stepping away entirely for a while, gives you a chance to notice whether you are still doing this for entertainment. If it stops feeling that way, tell someone close to you early, before the amounts involved grow.

Find the independent help links on this page

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial: unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout the site, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing.

Know where account controls actually live

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one of those controls on, check one or enforce one. Nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it; any such check happens at the destination. No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour. Each of the ten operator listings ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site: each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.
